June Prayer Letter

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for your prayers concerning our trip to Florida! We truly enjoyed having the opportunity to preach the Word and share our burden with these sweet churches in Florida, and the Lord provided another supporting church! Our next trip will take us back down to Florida and then up to Tennesse, Virginia, and Ohio. Praise the Lord for continued safety on the road; please do continue to keep us in your prayers.

As far as Thailand is concerned, the military coup is still going on, but things have settled down in their own way. For the most part, the curfew has been lifted. Protests of any sort are illegal and it seems that TV and radio are still heavily limited. Interestingly, the Thai Army general has mandated a new “happiness” campaign to try to bring unity to the country, part of which as been to allow the World Cup to be broadcast for free! We know these campaigns cannot solve the deep-rooted issues of greed and corruption but pray that as Thailand is in a state of transition, things will go smoothly. The good news is that since June 2, government offices have officially re-opened. Please continue to pray for Thailand, for its people and especially for its leaders.

With all the political turmoil going on around the world, we are constantly reminded that our hope is not in man’s rule, but in our Lord and Savior. Our prayer is that this current situation will result in more Thai people giving their lives to Christ. Please pray that their eyes will be open to the fact that no government will ever give them the peace and happiness that they truly desire.

Atalie and I have about 20 more churches to visit throughout the summer. The deputation trail is both a blessing and a time of faith testing. It is such a wonderful thing to get to spend time with faithful church families and see the work the Lord is performing. While we greatly enjoy this, deputation is also a time that tests our faith in a very real way. We have been so encouraged these last few months by the missions-minded churches that have hosted us, and also our faithful churches that continue to support us. Because of this, we are currently at 70% of our support goal! We are in prayer even now that as we come closer and closer to heading back to Thailand in just a few short months that the Lord will direct our paths and prepare us for the ministries to come in Bangkok. Thank you for holding the ropes for us. May God bless you as you serve Him!

Your missionaries to Thailand,
Adam and Atalie Hall
